James Allen’s Girls’ School (JAGS) uses all the income it receives from The Dulwich Estate to pay for means-tested financial assistance to enable girls from all economic backgrounds to come to JAGS. In 2017/18, 126 of its pupils received some form of financial assistance; 110 of these are directly supported by income from the Estate.

The Estate also provides capital funding for projects such as the building of a new Community Music Centre. This will be the largest venue of its kind in the area, with a 500 seat auditorium and 15 practice rooms. All of these facilities will be available not only to JAGS but also to local schools, community groups and musicians for all types of performances from orchestral and choral, to contemporary bands and soloists.

For information about what bursaries and financial assistance are available at JAGS, see https://www.jags.org.uk/admissions/bursaries/
