Visit Christ’s Chapel website and open day

04 March 2026

Christ’s Chapel of God’s Gift at Dulwich has launched a new website to coincide with expanded public opening hours and the introduction of weekly volunteer‑led tours.

From March, volunteers from St Barnabas and Dulwich Picture Gallery will open the Chapel every Wednesday afternoon from 2:00pm to 3:30pm, offering visitors the chance to explore this historic Grade II listed building.

It is now also possible to support the maintenance of this historic building in the heart of Dulwich, through a new donation portal, available both inside the Chapel and online. Donations help fund the upkeep of the Chapel as an active place of worship and a valued community space, and all contributions are warmly appreciated.

The new website invites visitors to:

  • Learn about the Chapel’s history and its founder, Edward Alleyn
  • Explore the building’s architectural heritage
  • Listen to music performed on the eighteenth‑century George England organ by Chapel organist Marilyn Harper

A free lunchtime Chamber Concert will take place at 1:30pm on Wednesday 25 March, open to all. Details of weekly Sunday services arranged by St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel are also available online.
