Rain garden planting

The Orchard field rain garden has been planted with a variety of marginal species as small plugs. Earth bunds around the edge are being left for wildflower seeding to establish. The muddy water will clear once insect life and bird bathing takes over. The Estate will keep an eye on the new pond to ensure water retention and monitor wildlife.
