The Estate’s Scheme of Management has altered its licence application process for home development and extensions to a two-stage process.

Following the application and guidelines process, permits will be issued for larger scale alterations like extensions, loft conversions, conservatories and new-build houses.

This will be valid for a period of three years, which aligns with local authority planning permission rules. Site inspections will be made by the Estate’s new consultant building surveyor, Chris Bird, to check the work according to permitted plans, at the start of the project and upon completion. A completion licence will then be issued if everything complies.
