NEWS:

A word from our Chief Executive

24 June 2022

Dulwich is a pocket of South East London renowned for its ancient woodland, rich natural environment and vast array of trees.

It has long been our policy to care for healthy trees and replant new ones where possible and where ancient species have come to the end of their life. Last year we planted 100 new trees in the area, and worked with London Wildlife Trust to maintain and protect Sydenham Hill Woods.

This year, we are working to increase our environmental efforts across the Estate with a wide-ranging review of maintenance and building practice. In time, this will lead to decarbonising where we can, maximising alternative green energy sources and doing more with our natural assets – planting, rewilding and supporting natural habitats. I look forward to sharing more about this work as it develops.
