Proposal:

Specie and Location of Tree

A Norway Maple tree situated in the front garden, close to the junction with Woodhall Avenue.  The tree had become unstable and therefore had to be reduced in height to a stump approximately 3m in height.  The tree has significant decay at the base of the trunk.

Description of Approved Works

Remove by felling at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree should be planted in a nearby location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Aesculus carnea                                                (Crimson Chestnut)

Fagus sylvatica ‘Riversii’                                 (Purple Beech)

Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’                       (Yellow leafed False Accacia)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.
