Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Norway Maple situated in the front garden close to the junction with Woodhall Avenue.  The tree became unstable and therefore had to be reduced in height to a stump approximately 3m in height.  The tree has significant decay at the base of the trunk.

T2.         A False Acacia tree approximately 9m in height, situated in the front garden close to the road.  The tree is leaning at an acute angle.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove by felling at ground level.

T2.         Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.         As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a nearby location possibly a little closer to the road junctions and the following specie was agreed:

Sorbus aucuparia            (Rowan)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3.5m.

T2.         None.  A replacement tree is not necessary.
