Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Wild Plum tree approximately 4m in height, situated on the front boundary with the South Circular Road.  The tree is a little dense.

T2.          A Sycamore tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the front boundary with the South Circular Road to the right of the entrance.  The tree is dead.

T3.          A Cherry tree approximately 10m in height, situated in the bottom left-hand corner of the rear garden.

T4.          A Sycamore tree approximately 12m in height, situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden.  The tree is leaning at an acute angle into the garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by approximately 30% and necessary re-shaping ensuring the height and basic shape is retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T2.          Remove by felling at ground level and the roots grubbed out.

T3.          Remove all deadwood and re-shape the tree as necessary.

T4.          Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

T2.          As a condition of the removal of (T2) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a nearby location on the front boundary and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Platanus x hispaica                           (London Plane)

Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’       (Yellow False Acacia)

Tilia cordata                                       (Small leafed Lime)

T4.          As a condition of the removal of (T4) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a suitable location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Fagus sylvatica                                   (Beech)

Davidia involucrata                          (Pocket Handkerchief tree)

Paulownia tomentosa                    (Foxglove tree)

The new trees should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
