Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Lime tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the front boundary with South Croxted Road.  The tree is very dense.

T2.         A Wild Plum tree approximately 5.5m in height, situated on the left-hand side of the rear garden near the bottom boundary.  The tree has significant decay in the lower trunk, it is also leaning at an acute angle into the garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Re-pollard at previous pruning points including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.

T2.         Remove by felling at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of (T2) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Magnolia soulangeana   (Deciduous Magnolia)

Prunus sargentii              (Cherry)

Acer davidii                      (Snakebark Maple)

The tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
