Red Post Hill, 54

Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          Two Holm Oak trees approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are a little dense and wide spreading.

T2.          A Cherry tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the left-side boundary near the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

T3.          A Poplar tree approximately 16m in height, situated in the bottom left-hand corner of the rear garden.

T4.          A Yew tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner adjacent to Red Post Hill.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Crown thin by approximately 20% including the removal of any dead wood, lifting of low branches by pruning at the main trunk, and the necessary shaping of the trees, ensuring the height and basic shape is retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T2.          Remove by felling at ground level.

T3.          No work is necessary apart from the removal of dead wood.

T4.          Reduce all round by up to 1m including the removal of any dead wood, lifting of low wide spreading branches, particularly over the public footpath, and the necessary shaping of the tree, ensuring the basic shape is retained.

Details of Replacement Required

None.  A replacement tree is not necessary as the garden is well stocked with trees.
