Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Weeping Birch tree approximately 5.5m in height, situated on the front boundary.  The tree is dead.

T2.          Two Holly trees approximately 7.5m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are poor specimens.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove together with the stump.

T2.          Remove by felling at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.          As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a suitable location of the front garden and below is the agreed specie:

Betula ‘Youngii’                 (Weeping Birch)

The tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.

T2.          As a condition of the removals of (T2) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Arbutus unedo                                  (Strawberry tree)

Tamarix pentandra                          (Tamarisk)

Crataegus ‘Paul’s Scarlet’              (Crimson May tree)

The tree should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.
