Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Holly tree approximately 8m in height, situated to the side entrance.

T2.         A Hazel tree approximately 11m in height, situated to the front left corner facing the property.  The tree is in contact with the front elevation and roof.

T3.         A Lime tree approximately 17m in height, situated to the front corner facing the property.  The tree is in contact with the front elevation and roof.

G1.        A group of Yew and Cherry Laurel situated on the boundary with Giles Coppice.  The trees are overhanging an enclosed soft fruit and apple enclosure.

G2.        A pair of Oak trees approximately 16m in height, situated to the front driveway.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Coppice to ground level.

T2.         Lateral crown reduction to provide a 2m clearance from the property.

T3.         Lateral crown reduction to provide a 2m clearance from the property.

G1.        Remove lower limbs back to the boundary.

G2.        Sensitive removal of small diameter dead wood only.  No crown reduction or thinning is permitted.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.         As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Amelanchier                    (Amelanchier arborea)

Service Tree                     (Sorbus torminalis)

Magnolia                          (Magnolia spp)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2024 and March 2025 planting season at a minimum height of 2m.
