Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Bay tree approximately 2.5m in height, situated in the rear garden.  The tree is far too close to the house.

T2.          Three Ornamental Pear trees approximately 5.5m – 6m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the garden.  The trees are a little too tall and wide spreading for their location.

T3.          A Silver Birch tree approximately 12m in height and multi-stemmed from approximately 1.5m, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          The tree closest to the house to be removed and the roots grubbed out.  The remaining two trees should be reduced in height to 3m, and crown thinned by 20% to form more compact specimens.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points where possible.

T3.          Crown thin by 20% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

Details of Replacement Required
