Proposal:

Species and Location of Tree

A Holm Oak tree and a Beech tree approximately 2.5m in height and part of a hedge towards the front section.  They are overmature specimens.

Description of Approved Works

Remove together with the roots grubbed out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removal of the above, a new hedge should be planted at suitable centres along the side boundary, incorporating existing hedging plants considered suitable for retention.. New plants should be bushy specimens with at least five breaks in the lower third and planted at a minimum height of 1m.  One of the following alternative species is recommended, all of which are evergreen apart from Forsythia:-

Ligustrum vulgare           (Common Pivet)

Forsythia intermedia      (Forsythia)

Prunus lusitanica            (Portugal Laurel)

Ilex J C van Tol                 (Holly (non prickly))
