Dulwich Oaks, 4

Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         An Oak tree approximately 12m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.

T2.         A False Acacia tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated a little too close to the rear-left-hand corner of the house.

T3.         An Ash tree approximately 15m in height, situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Crown thin by 15-20% including lifting of low branches and the removal of any dead wood.  The canopy should also be trimmed back from the house by pruning at convenient growth points whilst retaining the height and basic shape.

T2.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T3.         Crown thin by 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary trimming back a low growing and arching branch over the neighbouring garden whilst retaining the height and basic shape.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

Details of Replacement Required

None.  The garden is well stocked with mature trees.
