Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Yew tree approximately 6m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden, although situated in the adjoining garden at No 20 Dulwich Common.

T2.          An Oak tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The tree is a little dense and low growing.

T3.          A line of 7 Cypress trees situated on the left-hand side boundary near the bottom of the rear garden.  The trees are a little dense, tall and wide spreading.

T4.          A Weeping Willow tree approximately 10m in height, situated in a central location close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Branches of the Yew tree are crossing the boundary and extend across the rear patio doors of no.22. Encroaching branches to be trimmed back to the boundary as necessary.

T2.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted.

T3.          Reduce in height by up to 30% and the side growth trimmed back as much as possible whilst retaining green foliage and not exposing the inner dead wood.

T4.          Removal of all dead wood.
