Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A Fig tree approximately 4m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is situated too close to the proposed new extension.

T2.          A Deciduous Magnolia tree approximately 5m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary.  The tree is situated too close to the proposed new extension.

T3.          A Larch tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The tree is in poor health.

T4.          A twin stemmed self-sown Ash tree approximately 16m in height, and a single Ash tree of similar size and sited close by.  The trees are situated on the left-hand side boundary close to the bottom of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T3.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T4.          Remove.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, three replacement trees are to be planted in suitable locations of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Carpinus betulus              (Hornbeam)

Crataegus prunifolia        (Cockspur Thorn)

Acer davidii                         (Snakebark Maple)

The new trees should be planted during the November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
