Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A small Bay tree approximately 2m in height, situated in the centre of the front garden.  The tree is dead.

T2.         A Box Hedge has been completely destroyed by the Box Caterpillar.

T3.         An Olive tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the centre of the garden.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove.

T2.         Remove.

T3.         Crown thin by approximately 15-20% including the removal of any dead wood, lifting of low wide spreading branches, and the necessary shaping of the tree, ensuring the height and basic shape is retained.  It is important to prune branches at convenient growth points, rather than an all-round reduction or pollarding which is not permitted. 

Details of Replacement Required

T1.         As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the front garden and below is the agreed specie:

                           Bay Tree

T2.         As a condition of the removal of (T2) above, a replacement hedge should be planted and below is the agreed specie:

                            Sarcococca humillis        Christmas Box
