Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Silver Birch tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the right-side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is dead.

T2.         A Purple Plum tree approximately 5m in height, situated on the right-hand side of the rear garden.  The tree is leaning.

T3.         Three Yew trees approximately 4-6m in height, situated in the rear garden.  The trees are a little too large for their location.

T4.         A contorted Acacia tree approximately 6m in height, situated near the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

T5.         Three Lime trees situated on the front boundary with Court Lane.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.         Remove one bough in order to redress the balance.

T3.         Low branches to be lifted and the trees-re-shaped.

T4.         One low branch to be lifted.

T5.         Re-pollard at 4m above ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.         As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Cercis siliquastrum         (Judas tree)

Paulownia tomentosa    (Foxglove tree)

Acer davidii                      (Snakebark Maple)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.m.
