Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A multi-stemmed Pittosporum tree approximately 9m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is sited too close to the house.

T2.          A Holly tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is sited too close to a more important Silver Birch tree.

T3.          A Cotoneaster tree approximately 4m in height, situated to the right-hand side close to the bottom boundary of the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T2.          Remove by felling at ground level.

T3.          Crown thin by 15% including the removal of dead wood and water shoots, and necessary re-shaping.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.          As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three-alternative species for consideration:

Halesia carolina                                 (Snowdrop tree)

Amelanchier lamarckii                    (Snowy Mespilus)

Rhus typhina                                      (Sumach)
