Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1/2.     Two Cypress trees approximately 22m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.  The trees are too large for the small garden.

T3.         A self-sown Ash tree approximately 12m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary towards the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is too large for its location.

Description of Approved Works

T1/2.     Both trees to be removed by felling at ground level.

T3.         Remove by felling at ground level.

Details of Replacement Required

T1/2.     As a condition of the removals of the above, two replacement trees are to be planted in convenient locations of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Arbutus unedo                (Strawberry tree)

Davidia involucrata        (Pocket Handkerchief tree)

Cercis siliquastrum         (Judas tree)

The new trees should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.

 

T3.         As a condition of the removal of the above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Acer davidii                      (Snakebark Maple)

Crataegus prunifolia       (Hawthorn)

Paulownia tomentosa    (Foxglove tree)

The new trees should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
