Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1/2.     A Lime tree approximately 10m in height and a Wild Plum tree approximately 9m in height, situated side by side approximately 4m from the rear elevation of the property.  The trees are too close to the house.

T3.         A Wild Plum (Prunus) tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.

T4.         A Wild Plum tree approximately 10m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the rear garden close to the garden room.

T5.         A self-sown Ash tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated close to the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden adjacent to the garden room.

T6.         A twin-stemmed tree situated to the left side of the garden room.  The tree is dead.

T7.         A self-sown Ash tree approximately 7.5m in height, situated to the rear of a shed in the bottom left-hand corner of the rear garden.

T8.         A self-sown and twin-stemmed Ash tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary midway down the rear garden.

Description of Approved Works

T1/2.     Both trees to be removed and the roots grubbed out.

T3.         Crown thin by 25% including lifting of low branches, and the removal of any dead wood and water shoots.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T4.         Crown thin by 25% including lifting of low branches, and the removal of any dead wood and water shoots.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T5.         Remove and the roots either grubbed out or poisoned.

T6.         Remove.

T7.         Remove and the roots either grubbed out or poisoned.

T8.         Remove and the roots either grubbed out or poisoned.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of (T1) and (T2) above, two replacement trees should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the alternative species for consideration:

Sorbus aucuparia            (Rowan)

Acer Davidii                     (Snakebark Maple)

Arbutus unedo                (Strawberry tree)

Amelanchier lamarkii

Magnolia soulangea

The tree should be planted with a stem girth of 12-14cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 2.5m.
