Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A Japanese Maple tree approximately 6m in height, situated close to the house on the left-hand side boundary.  The tree is dead.

T2.         A Magnolia tree approximately 4m in height, situated close to the house on the right-hand side boundary.

T3.         A Cypress tree and a Juniper tree approximately 7.5m and 6m respectively, and a nearby dead tree approximately 5m in height close to the Juniper, all situated in the centre of the garden towards the left-hand side.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove and the stump ground out.

T2.         Lightly thin and re-shape as necessary.

T3.         Remove together with the stumps ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

As a condition of the removals of the above, four replacement trees should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the six alternative species for consideration:

Betula jacquemontii       (Silver Birch)

Crataegus prunifolia       (Cockspur Thorn)

Sorbus aucuparia            (Rowan)

Koelreuteria paniculata (Pride of India)

Acer griseum                   (Paperbark Maple)

Albizzia julibrissin           (Silk tree)

The trees should be planted in Autumn this year with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
