Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         A False Acacia tree approximately 15m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the rear garden.  The tree is in poor health and condition with some decay at the base.

T2.         A Holly tree approximately 7m in height, situated a little further down the rear garden.  The tree is poorly shaped.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Remove and the stump ground out.

T2.         Remove and the stump ground out.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.         As a condition of the removal of (T1) above, a replacement tree should be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Aesculus carnea              (Red Chestnut)

Paulownia tomentosa    (Foxglove tree)

Davidia involucrata        (Pocket Handkerchief tree)

The new tree should be planted during the November 2023 and March 2024 planting season with a stem girth of between16-18cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.

T2.         None.  A replacement tree is not necessary as the garden is well stocked with mature trees.
