Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.         Two very large and mature Horse Chestnut trees approximately 20m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The trees are a little dense and wide spreading.

T2.         A Plane tree approximately 18m in height, situated in the front left-hand corner adjacent to Alleyn Park.  The tree is a little dense and wide spreading.

T3.         A Sorbus tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the left-hand side boundary of the front garden.  The tree is a little wide spreading into a more important Ginkgo tree nearby.

T4.         A Crab Apple tree approximately 3m in height, situated close to the garage on the left-hand side boundary.  The tree is badly sited next to more important species.

T5.         A Sorbus tree approximately 5m in height, situated towards the bottom of the rear garden towards the right-hand side.  The tree is dead.

Description of Approved Works

T1.         Crown thin by 25%, including the removal of dead wood, and necessary shortening of selected branches encroaching over the garden in order to create a gap between the Chestnuts and a large Plane on the opposite side of the garden.

T2.         Crown thin by up to 25% including the removal of dead wood and necessary shortening of selected branches encroaching over the garden in order to create a gap between the Chestnuts on the opposite side of the garden.  Low branches encroaching over the road should be lifted to provide a minimum clearance of 6m from ground level and thinned as described before.  The height and basic shape should be retained.

T3.         Crown reduce by 1.5m and the side growth trimmed back proportionally to form a more compact specimen.

T4.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.

T5.         Remove and the roots grubbed out.
