Proposal:

Species and Location of Trees

T1.          A line of Cypress trees approximately 10-12m in height, situated along the bottom boundary of the rear garden.  The trees are in poor condition.

T2.          A Cypress tree approximately 6m in height, situated in the bottom right-hand corner of the rear garden.  The tree is unstable and should be removed.

T3.          A Eucalyptus tree approximately 6m in height, situated on the right-hand side boundary towards the bottom of the rear garden.  The tree is badly sited next to a more important and well-shaped Cypress tree.

Description of Approved Works

T1.          Remove and the stumps ground out.

T2.          Remove.

T3.          Remove and the roots grubbed out.

Details of Replacement Required

T1.          As a condition of the removals of (T1) above, a new hedge is to be planted in the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Prunus lusitanica              (Portugal Laurel)

Taxus baccata                    (Yew)

Ligustrum vulgare            (Privet)

T3.          As a condition of the removal of (T3) above, a replacement tree is to be planted in a convenient location of the rear garden and below are the three alternative species for consideration:

Betula jacquemontii                       (Silver Birch)

Koelreuteria paniculate                 (Pride of India)

Robinia pseudoacacia ‘Frisia’       (Yellow False Acacia)

The new tree should be planted during the next November 2022 and March 2023 planting season with a stem girth of between 14-16cm at 1m above ground level and at a minimum height of 3m.
